1-year limited warranty
Warranty
Last updated: October 4, 2026
Every new Breville Barista Express we sell comes with a 1-year limited warranty provided by EspressoLuma. This page explains what it covers, what it does not, and how to make a claim.
At a glance
• 1 year from the delivery date, provided by EspressoLuma — not by Breville.
• Covers faults in materials and workmanship under normal household use.
• We repair or replace the machine, or refund you. For an accepted claim we cover shipping within the US and Canada.
1. Who provides this warranty
This warranty is given by EspressoLuma. It is not a Breville warranty. We sell new machines in the original Breville box as an independent retailer. Our warranty is provided directly by EspressoLuma and is separate from any manufacturer warranty that may apply.
2. How long it lasts
The warranty runs for 12 months from the delivery date shown in your tracking. It covers the original purchaser and is not transferable. A repaired or replacement machine is covered for the remainder of the original 12 months, or 90 days, whichever is longer.
3. What is covered
Faults in materials or workmanship that stop the machine working as the manufacturer intends, under normal household use. Examples: the pump not building pressure, the heating not reaching temperature, the grinder motor not running, controls or electronics failing, or leaks from internal parts.
4. What is not covered
• Normal wear and cosmetic wear from use.
• Damage from accidents, drops, misuse, or not following the Breville instruction manual.
• Faults caused by scale build-up because the machine was not descaled as the manual describes, or by using it without water.
• Use on a supply other than 120 V, use with a voltage converter, or commercial use.
• Damage caused by repairs, modifications or parts not authorised by us.
• Normal wear or replacement of consumables and wear parts: water filters, cleaning tablets, filter baskets, the group head gasket and the grinder burrs.
• Damage in transit — this is handled under our shipping policy. Please report it within 48 hours of delivery so we can investigate promptly; this does not limit your rights under our refund policy or applicable law.
5. How to make a claim
Email support@espressoluma.com with your order number, a description of the fault, and a short video or photos showing it.
We reply within 1–2 business days and may suggest a few checks first: many issues are solved by a descale or a change of grind size.
If the fault is covered, we send a prepaid shipping label for addresses in the United States and Canada. Pack the machine securely, emptied and dry.
Once we have inspected it, we repair it, replace it with an equivalent unit, or refund the price you paid, at our choice. We aim to complete this within 5–7 business days of receiving the machine.
6. If no fault is found
If we find no fault, or the problem is not covered, we tell you before doing anything else and return the machine to you. Return shipping costs for non-warranty claims or no-fault-found inspections are the responsibility of the customer. We confirm the shipping cost with you before returning the machine.
7. Your legal rights
This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your state, province or territory.
